How do I troubleshoot a Qtrac Media Player?

This article details how to perform troubleshooting steps on a Qtrac media player:

  • If the Display shows the message, NO SIGNAL:
    1. Unplug the Qtrac Media Player from power and plug it back in while the Display is ON.
    2. After the Qtrac Media Player starts, you should see a stream on messages appear during the bootup period.
    3. If Qtrac Media Player does not start up, then unplug the Power Adapter connector where it plugs into the Qtrac Media Player to make sure that it is connected securely.
    4. If the error persists, then contact the Qtrac Help Desk.

  • If the Display shows the message, PAGE NOT FOUND:
    1. Restart the Qtrac Media Player again by unplugging it from power and plug it back in while the Display is ON.
    2. If the error persists, then contact the Qtrac Help Desk.

  • If the Display shows the message, NO CONNECTION:
    1. Unplug the Qtrac Media Player from power and plug it back in while the Display is ON.
    2. Make sure that the ethernet cable is secure in the Qtrac Media Player and in the data port. If the cable is not installed correctly, the Qtrac Media Player will not be able to connect online.
    3. If the error persists, then contact your IT Department to ensure that the data port is active and that there is internet connection available for the Qtrac Media Player.
    4. If the error persists, then contact the Qtrac Help Desk.

  • If the Display does not show customers in line:
    1. If the error persists, and you are certain there are customers in line, and shown in the Queue View, then contact the Qtrac Help Desk.
