How do I add translations?

Alek Alek

Thank you for visiting the Qtrac Knowledge Base. We hope this article provides the guidance you need.

Based on your question, it seems you’re looking to add translations to your configuration. The Qtrac application includes several areas where translations can be applied—such as Workflow, Kiosk Designer, Signage Designer, SMS Messaging, Appointments, and other configurable modules.
All translation edits require Admin permissions, and the same general principles apply across all Designers and Workflow tools.

Where Translations Are Used

Translations are available for all text-configurable elements throughout the Qtrac platform, including:

  • Labels and field names

  • Questions or answers

  • Prompts and instructions

  • Text or E-mail communication content

  • Display texts used in any of the designers for kiosks, Qtrac monitors, mobile interface, or bookings.

Anywhere text can be configured, translations can be added or adjusted.

How to Add Translations

  1. Locate the Text Field You Wish to Edit
    • Navigate to the appropriate configuration screen (e.g., Kiosk Designer, SMS Messaging, etc.).
    • Click into any editable text field. A Translate button will appear next to the field.
  2. Enter the Primary Language Text
    • Input your content in your company's designated primary language.
  3. Click the Translate Button
    • The system will automatically generate translations for all selected languages enabled in your configuration.
    • You may edit the translations manually after they are generated, if needed.
  4. Review and Apply Translations Before Saving
    • Ensure all translated fields are populated.
    • Important: Translations must be applied before saving the configuration to avoid blank or missing text.

Adding Graphics Per Language (for Designers)

  • If you're using the Kiosk or Signage Designer, you can upload different graphics per language.
  • Use the language tabs at the top of the designer to switch and upload relevant images for each language.

By following these steps, you can ensure multilingual support is correctly configured across your Qtrac solution.
