How to un-share Insights report

We hope the below article will assist you. Based on your questions, it looks like you are trying to un-share an existing Insights report.

Before we explain it we would like to tell you the scenarios of when this might be needed. In today's economy a lot of companies have constant turn over of team members and our roles within the companies frequently change. You might have created and amazing Insights report that you would like to share it with your team, and assign someone else or remove someone from the share list in the specific Insights report. Usually this is done by the Supervisors or Managers or even by the local IT support team.

With our sharing capability for Insights this is easily doable and fully explained in the following steps:

Permissions Required:

  • Any user that has access to Insights and Owner or Contributor of the report
  • N/A


1. Once you navigated to the sharing Insights section, simply locate the specific user or user role you would like to be removed from the sharing list and click on the X next to it:


As you can see, it is possible to un-share the Insights report with entire User Role or individual user.


2. Once you have decided who are you sharing this report with simply click Share:

Note: Be aware that if you are Owner of the Insights report you can not remove yourself since it has to be at least one Owner assigned to the Insights Report. 

Also if User belongs to a specific User Role Group, and all of those users need to keep the shared report, you will have to add all users individually and not as a group. We do understand this is not the easiest way, but it is the only way to guarantee the security of the shared report going to the wrong hands.
