Hi,
Thank you for visiting our Qtrac Knowledge Base library. We hope the below article will assist you. Based on your inquiry, it looks like you are trying to download an Insights report. In order to accomplish this, you will need the following permissions:
Admin or Manager role with access to the Insights module.
Once you confirm that you do have access to these settings, please follow these steps:
Option 1: Download from within an open report
-
Navigate to the Insights section from the Qtrac dashboard.
-
Select the report you would like to export and click Edit.
-
Choose the appropriate reporting period (for example: This Month, Last 7 Days, or a custom range).
-
Click the Run Report (⚡) button to refresh the report data and ensure the latest results are displayed.
-
If you have made changes to filters or settings, click Save before exporting.
-
Click the ⋮ (More Options) menu or the Export/Download icon located in the report toolbar.
-
Select the desired export format based on your needs.
-
Click Generate Report to begin the export process.
Option 2: Download from the Insights reports list
- Navigate to the Insights module to see your saved reports list.
- Find the report and click the ⋮ icon next to its name.
- Select Download or Export from the dropdown menu.
- Follow steps 5–6 above to choose your format and download.
Note: PDF downloads capture the visual state of the report at the time of download — including the currently selected chart type and date range. If you need a different date range, update the date picker, re-run the report, then download.
Note: CSV downloads export the underlying data rows, not the visual chart. The columns in the CSV match the fields configured in your report's Columns or Values slots.
Tip: For regular data exports to BI tools, consider using Schedule Report (CSV format) instead of manual downloads — this ensures your data pipeline receives fresh data automatically on your chosen cadence without manual effort each time.
We hope this article helped you out with your request and clarified things a little bit more.
