We’re excited to introduce Resource Allocation, a new feature designed to give you more control over how your resources—like rooms, consultants, or associates—are managed across services. This feature ensures you always have the right resources available at the right times, both for customers and internal operations.
What is Resource Allocation?
Resource Allocation allows you to assign specific resources to booking services and determine how many bookings can be made for each resource on any given day. With this feature, you can manage public resources—available for customers to book—and internal resources, which are reserved exclusively for associates. This flexibility ensures smooth service delivery and optimal use of resources.
Here’s a quick breakdown:
- Resources: Anything that supports your services (e.g., meeting rooms, consultants, or teams).
- Public resources: Available to both customers and associates through the booking system.
- Internal resources: Reserved for associates to handle walk-ins or priority cases, ensuring service flexibility.
Key Features & Benefits
-
Assign Resources to Multiple Services
- Allocate specific resources to different services within a workflow (e.g., both Consultation and Onboarding services use the same meeting room).
- Easily manage overlapping services by defining resource sharing rules.
-
Create Resource Templates

- Add resources and set different booking rules for specific days of the week to reflect service needs.

Control Public vs. Internal Resource Bookings
- Public resources are available for customers and associates to book directly through the scheduling system.
- Internal resources can only be booked by associates, helping you accommodate walk-ins or high-priority customers without disrupting the public schedule.
-
Customize Resource Hours for Greater Flexibility
- Adjust availability for each resource by day—set resources to open earlier or close later to better handle demand.
- Example: Your Consultation room can close early at 4 PM on Fridays to allow time to finalize details from the week and to prepare for the following week.
- Adjust availability for each resource by day—set resources to open earlier or close later to better handle demand.
-
Dynamic Booking Capacity by Day
- Set different limits for public and internal resources per day.
- Example: Monday to Thursday, each service has 3 public resources available, while Friday and Saturday offer 2 public resources and 1 internal resource for walk-ins.
- Set different limits for public and internal resources per day.
How This Feature Enhances Your Operations
