How to Clone or Duplicate Schedules Template

Welcome to the Qtrac Knowledge Base! This article is designed to guide you how to duplicate or clone existing Schedules Template settings to another template or multiple templates.

Follow the step-by-step instructions below to get started.

1. Open Schedules from the Settings menu or from the Schedules Icon in the Settings section.
   
2. Create a new template by clicking Add New Template at the top right corner to create new blank template that will be used as destination. 
   
   More on how to create new template you can find here.  However, for the purpose of this training that is not required. All you need is just to have blank template that will be used as destination to be copied on.
3. Now go back to Schedules templates list and choose the one that you want to use as a master template to copy from.
4. Click edit:
   
5. Once you are inside the template you need to click publish at the bottom right corner and select Publish To Template:
   
6. This will bring up a pop-up that would look like this:
   
7. If  you click, Select Templates you will be able to see all Schedules Templates that belong to the same Workflow. Please know that if your new blank report on step 2 is not part of the same workflow as the master template it will not be visible here.
8. Select the Schedules destination template where you want to be copied to: p.s. you can select multiple destination templates at the same time.
   
9. Once Selected Click Publish
   

That was It! Great work!

Now the new template created in step 2 will have the exact same settings as the Master template that you choose.

HINT:
Please know that you must have the Master template saved and ready before publishing it to another template. If you make the changes at the same time, they will not be saved or transferred. You must save the changes first before transferring them to template.
