We’re excited to announce a brand-new feature in Qtrac: the ability to create Master Templates and clone them into destination templates. This new functionality makes it easier than ever to set up and maintain consistency across your environment.
What’s New
With this feature, you can now create a single Master Template and use it as the baseline for multiple destinations. Once set up, the master design can be cloned, saving you time and ensuring uniformity across different areas of Qtrac.
Supported Template Types
The following template types now support Master Template creation and cloning:
- Schedule Templates
- Queue View Templates
-
Designer Templates for:
Kiosk
Mobile Interface
Monitor
Scheduler
This means that whether you’re managing schedules, configuring queue views, or building consistent kiosk and mobile experiences, you can now start from a master and scale it with ease.
Benefits of Master Templates
Consistency: Ensure branding, layout, and logic are applied uniformly across multiple templates.
Time-Saving: Eliminate the need to re-create designs for every destination.
Flexibility: Clone and adjust templates as needed while maintaining a central source of truth.
Scalability: Quickly roll out standardized designs across multiple locations or services.
Enterprise Power: For Enterprise customers with multiple locations (organized by regions, states, or even zip codes), this feature is a game-changer. With one click of a button, you can update multiple templates at once—keeping your entire organization aligned and efficient.
Draft Templates for Review & Testing: You can now create draft-type templates before pushing them live. These drafts can be used for reviews, collaboration, and testing to make sure everything looks and works as intended. Once finalized, they can be converted into Master Templates and pushed out to multiple destinations simultaneously—avoiding manual changes and reducing risk in production.
Training Tutorials
To help you get started, we’ve created dedicated training guides for each type of template:
