How to Share an Insights Report

Thank you for visiting our Qtrac Knowledge Base library. We hope the below article will assist you. Based on your inquiry, it looks like you are trying to share an Insights report with other users. In order to accomplish this, you will need the following permissions:

Admin or Manager role with access to the Insights module. The report must be saved before it can be shared.

Once you confirm that you do have access to these settings, please follow these steps:

Option 1: Share from within an open report

1. Open the saved Insights report you want to share.

   

2. Click the ⋮ (more options) button in the report toolbar, or look for the Share icon.

   

3. Select Share Report from the menu.

4. In the share dialog, enter the email address(es) of the users you want to share with, or select from the list of Qtrac users at your organization.

   

   

5. Choose the access level: View only (recipients can run the report and see results but cannot edit the configuration) or Can edit (recipients can modify the report fields, filters, and axes).

   

6. Optionally add a message to include in the share notification email.

7. Click Share to send the access invitation. Recipients will receive an email with a direct link to the report.

   

Option 2: Share from the Insights reports list

1. Navigate to the Insights module to see your saved reports list.
2. Find the report you want to share and click the ⋮ (more options) icon next to its name.
3. Select Share from the dropdown menu.
4. Follow steps 4–7 above to configure and send the share.

Note: Users with View only access can run the report and see current results, but they cannot change the field configuration, filters, or axes.

Note: Sharing gives live access to the report — not a static snapshot. If you want to share the output data rather than the report itself, use the Download option to export as PDF or CSV and share the file externally instead.
