Introducing the New “Button List” Question Type in Qtrac: A More Interactive and Customizable Experience

We’re excited to introduce a brand-new question type now available in the Qtrac platform — Button List. Designed to enhance both usability and visual appeal, the Button List is a modern, intuitive way for users to interact with your kiosks and mobile check-in experiences.

What is the Button List?

The Button List question type works similarly to our existing Options question type, but with a more visual, user-friendly presentation. Instead of displaying answer options in a dropdown list, each option appears as a standalone button, making it easier and faster for users to make selections.

This new format is now available for both your General and Service questions.

How It Works

When customers interact with your kiosk or scan in via mobile, they'll see each answer option as a clearly labeled, tappable button. This design creates a more engaging experience that’s easier to navigate—especially helpful in high-traffic environments or for users who may prefer a more visual layout.

Users can simply tap on any of the buttons to make their selection, and the system will capture the response just as it does with other question types.

Fully Customizable Design

What sets the Button List apart is the customization power it brings to your team. Through the Kiosk and Mobile Interface Designers, agents can access each Button List question and tailor the button design to better reflect your brand or improve user flow.

Agents can:

  • Assign unique colors to each button

  • Set different colors for activated (selected) buttons

  • Match button styles to department themes, service types, or priority levels

These enhancements allow you to build a user interface that’s not only functional but visually aligned with your organization’s identity.
