We’re pleased to introduce a new enhancement in Qtrac designed to improve the customer experience within the mobile interface — Expired and Abandoned Pages are now available in the mobile designer.
This feature helps clearly communicate to customers when they are no longer in the queue, providing a smoother and more transparent interaction with your services.
What Are Expired and Abandoned Pages?
When customers are monitoring their place in line through the mobile interface, there are times they may unknowingly fall out of the queue — whether it's the end of the day or due to manual removal. The new Expired and Abandoned pages address these moments by displaying a clear message that explains what happened and what the customer can do next.
🕒 Expired Page
Displayed when:
-
The queue ends for the day (either manually or through automation)
-
The customer’s ticket times out at the end of business hours
This page lets the customer know that their session has ended because the service day has concluded.
🚫 Abandoned Page
Displayed when:
-
A customer is manually removed from the queue by an associate
-
The customer removes themselves from the queue
This page informs the customer that they are no longer in the queue, with optional messaging to guide them on how to rejoin or seek assistance.
Why This Matters
Without this feature, customers who were previously viewing their ticket page may not know they’ve been removed or that the queue has closed — leading to frustration or confusion. By introducing clear end-state pages, you can:
-
✅ Improve communication and transparency
-
📱 Create a better mobile experience for customers
-
💡 Guide next steps with helpful messaging or links
-
⏳ Reduce support inquiries related to queue status

The Expired and Abandoned Pages feature is a simple but powerful way to close the loop with customers who are no longer in queue — ensuring that even when a session ends, the experience remains clear and helpful.
