We’re excited to introduce a highly requested feature in Qtrac: the ability to enable appointment check-in on the kiosk and mobile interfaces even during offline hours.
This new enhancement is designed to support organizations that accept appointments but do not offer walk-in services during certain hours or days. With this feature enabled, customers with valid appointments can still check in—ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted experience.
What Does This Feature Do?
When walk-in services are marked as offline, the kiosk and mobile interfaces typically display a message indicating that no services are available. With this new setting enabled, customers will now see an “Appointment Check-In” button on these offline pages.
This allows scheduled customers to:
-
✅ Check in for their appointment
-
📱 Use mobile or kiosk platforms as usual
-
⏳ Bypass walk-in restrictions while maintaining structured scheduling
Use Case Example
Let’s say your organization only accepts appointments on weekends and disables walk-in queues for those days. Previously, all customers—whether walk-ins or appointments—would be shown an "offline" message.
Now, with this feature:
-
Appointment customers can still check in.
-
Walk-in customers are still restricted as intended.
-
Staff can manage queues and appointments with better control and efficiency.
Key Benefits
-
🔒 Maintain control over walk-in availability
-
📆 Support scheduled customers during offline walk-in hours
-
⏱️ Reduce missed appointments by keeping check-in accessible
-
📱 Flexible kiosk and mobile support for appointment-driven operations
